I started playing in bands at age 15. In the late 70's and after 4 years with The Lamont Cranston Band, I formed my own 9 piece jump blues band called The Bees Knees Big Band. We played 3 or 4 nights a week at venues including colleges, bars, private parties, TV appearances and even performing at the Guthrie Theater. After The Bees Knees I joined The Suburbs, an 80's rock band and then the spin off Chan Poling Band having a great time playing tenor sax.

Recently in 2021 I started building full band custom backing tracks with guest recording artists doing old Soul and R&B tunes from greats like Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Jr. Walker and the All Stars, Little Richard, Etta James, Marvin Gaye and more. I'm even looking at working up more recent tunes that fit that style like Pharrell's Happy. Sample my music HERE!
